No! SnapCAM is designed for operators who don't have CAD training. Just take a photo, place a reference object for scaling, and the app handles the rest. You can fine-tune dimensions with ±0.01mm precision if needed.
Which CNC machines are supported?+
SnapCAM supports laser cutting machines, plasma cutting tables, and CNC milling machines. It generates G-code compatible with GRBL, Mach3, and LinuxCNC controllers. CNC lathe support is coming soon.
How accurate is the measurement?+
SnapCAM uses Decimal arithmetic (never floating-point) for all calculations. Combined with the reference object scaling system, measurements achieve ±0.05mm accuracy for laser cutting and ±0.01mm for CNC milling applications.
Is there a free plan?+

Which file formats are supported?+
